Eco Policies

Like a lot of people, we are incredibly passionate about the planet and our impact as a small business. We have taken the following steps to minimize as much as possible. This is not intended to be an exhaustive list, but provides a window into our daily considerations.

Our steps to make a healthier world include:

• SOLAR POWERED. As of 2022, the Dread The Empire art studio is an 100% solar powered business. This includes everything from production machinery to photography lighting to the computers used to sculpt models and make listings.
• PRINTING PROCESS. We live with a lot of pets in the house, including delicate species with equally delicate respiratory systems. Our 3D printing process produces no toxic emissions. We've bought filament that uses 100% recycled/recyclable cardboard boxes and spools, and minimized our plastic waste with no supports or rafts. Any remaining plastic waste is being slowly gathered to send to Printerior for recycling.
• PLATINUM SILICONE. We believe that our toys shouldn't just be safe for your body, but also safer for the environment. Unsafe, unstable or questionable materials in cheaper toys degrade, leading to more trash over time. Platinum silicone is incredibly stable and can be boil-sterilized, giving it a long life with a new owner.
• PRODUCTION WASTE. No matter how we minimize it, pouring toys is a messy business and causes waste. Disposable waste such as paper towels and mixing sticks are recycled or bamboo materials, as available.
• RECYCLED BOXES. All cardboard boxes used for shipping are 60-100% recycled materials, and we suggest recycling them again when you receive them!
• SUSTAINABLE PAPER SOURCES. Our paper sources (such as box labeling, receipts, etc) are either 100% recycled or bamboo paper, as available.
